In 1946, while moose hunting, John Nosler discovered his bullets failed to penetrate deep enough to kill these large animals quickly. At the time, bullets had a closed jacket at the front and open at the rear, which kept the bullet from expanding. John created a dual-core bullet that expanded at low velocities but maintained integrity at high velocities. In 2005, the company started to manufacture Nosler brass to exact dimensions with the same attention to detail.
