In 1932, Fred Barnes founded Barnes Bullets and began selling his wares out of his basement workshop in Bayfield, Colorado. Upon his retirement, Barnes was purchased by the Brooks family, who moved the company to Utah. While hunting in Alaska, Randy Brooks came up with the idea for an all-copper bullet. After a few successful hunts, the Brooks family knew they had a winner. This prototype became the X Bullet and has changed the hunting world with its knockdown power and terminal performance.
